This is the terrifying moment an escaped bull causes chaos after rampaging through the crowd in a packed market.

The incident happened during a fair in the municipality of Timucuy, in the Mexican state of Yucatan on 7th January.

The footage shows the bull seemingly trying to find a way to escape as it runs through the terrified crowd who run for safety. The market traders are also seen fleeing and some of them have their stall demolished by the scared bull.

It can be seen running while people can be seen chasing after it on foot. Several cowboys on horses also attempt to lasso the bull.

The bull, which weighed approximately 400 kilogrammes (63 stones), had escaped the ring and was later caught.

Nobody was reportedly injured during the balls rampage although there was some material damage reported by the owners of some of the food stalls at the market.

Netizens were quick to express their anger over the use of bulls for fun such as Facebook user ‘Mario Couo’ who said: “In this video we can appreciate how a group of animals harasses and damages a beautiful specimen of bull.”

And ‘Angelica Covarrubias’ commented: “I’m shocked by these people who have fun using the animals.”
