This is the outrageous moment a man kicks his dog with his foot in a bid to provoke it into scaring several wild macaques for the sake of some online content.

The incident was captured by other tourists at the Mount Emei Scenic Area, located in Sichuan, Southwest China.

In one phone-shot video, posted on Douyin, the Chinese TikTok, on 10th January, the unknown elderly man is shown holding a phone stand in one hand and a dog leash tied to his Border Collie in the other.

The man and his pet dog stood in front of a group of macaques native to the area to which he had purposely travelled.

Seemingly hoping he would be able to film something worthwhile at the location, he had dragged his dog right in front of the monkeys to spark some sort of reaction.

But seeing his pet act indifferent to the monkeys, he attempted to kick the dog with his foot, trying to incite a conflict between the animals.

Some onlookers expressed dissatisfaction, loudly shouting: “Even the dog is unwilling, and you are trying to provoke them.”

In another video clip, the man successfully instigated a struggle between his dog and the monkeys.

Under his guidance, the dog nearly charged into the bushes. Confronting the monkeys, visibly frightening both animals.

Some witnesses later claimed they even saw the man encouraging his dog to bite the monkeys.

On January 11th, a staff member at the Mount Emei Scenic Area complaint centre told local media that they were not aware of the specific situation. And had not received any complaints from visitors regarding this matter.

Another employee further clarified that visitors are not allowed to bring pets into the scenic area.
