This is the moment a greedy pig chases a bunch of women tourists until they drop their bags and then dashes off with a pink rucksack in the hope that there is some food inside.

The video was reportedly shot in Hong Kong, despite being one of the most densely populated and heavily built-up areas of the world, still has a population of around 1,300 wild boars on the island.

The number of wild pigs has actually been on the decline in recent years and supply might be a problem as demonstrated by this particularly hungry tusker deciding it was easier to steal food by mugging visitors rather than rooting it out on its own.

At least two women were seen in this video running into escape with their bags with the pig only giving up the chase when they dropped their precious belongings, and it could grab the bag and ran off in order later rip it apart in the hope that there was food inside.

The video triggered a wave of comments after it was shared on China’s version of TikTok, Douyin.

Douyin user ‘Heart Hunter’ said: “Sure enough, Peppa Pig still likes pink.”

Then user ‘Lewu’ commented: “If it’s a wild boar, don’t take it as a joke. Wild boars can kill people.”

While user ‘Zhang He’ added: “The boar: Give me something to eat quickly.”
