This is the moment an employee at a market warehouse discovers at least three tiny mice inside a box of shoes after the pregnant female mouse set up home inside the box.

One of the warehouse employees wearing gloves can be seen shaking one of the shoes in the footage which was shared online in Russia recently.

At least three tiny rodents can be seen in the box surrounded by what appears to be chewed up packaging.

However, the mother mouse, which Russian media speculated might have been away looking for food, was not there, leading to fears that she may already have made her way to another location inside the warehouse.

The fate of the little mice is unknown.

In a more disgusting incident, Paul Payne, a father of two, found two dead mice in the GBP 69 (EUR 79) designer trainers he bought from Amazon earlier this year.

In a local media interview, Paul said: “The second I opened the Amazon box and pulled the first piece of packaging away, I could see what I thought were droppings.

“I pulled one shoe out and saw one of the mice in the box at the bottom with loads of urine and droppings everywhere and bits of paper. It stunk – the smell was just disgusting. It was like a dirty alleyway or something.”

“I picked the other shoe up, and as I did this, another mouse fell out, dead.”
