This viral footage with over a million views on TikTok shows a Malaysian child enjoying a swim in a fish tank at his dad’s place.
The images, filmed somewhere in Malaysia, have been doing the rounds online, with local media reporting that the footage had notched up over 1.1 million views in just under 16 hours.
The video shows the young boy who looks no older than five wearing a pair of swimming goggles and doing many laps in the fish tank.
Every time he gets to the end, the fish dart to the other side of the tank.
At one point, the child even inadvertently kicks one of the larger fish while propelling himself forward.
The video was posted online, reportedly by the boy’s father. Where it quickly went viral on TikTok.
The father reportedly added overlaid text to the video saying (in Malay). “I’m just going to entertain him, he wants to swim in the tank.”
At the time of writing, the footage was no longer on TikTok after it was either removed by the person who posted it or banned by the platform itself.
Some netizens appeared amused by the footage while others said that it was unfair to the fish and cruel.
Others suggested that the tank was not an appropriate place for a human to swim and that if the kid were to break the glass with his foot. It could have disastrous consequences.
