Man Copies Famous Michael Jackson Moonwalk Mid Lake

Michael Jackson would probably have been impressed by this man copying his famous moonwalking in the middle of a Chinese lake.

The video was shot at the picturesque lake in Qujing, a prefecture-level city in the east of the Chinese province of Yunnan.

Moonwalking, made famous by singer Michael Jackson, involves walking forwards yet actually going backwards by switching the weight on the legs.

However, this is the first time many people have never seen anybody moonwalking in water and staying perfectly still, with commentators clearly impressed by the stunt.

However, the man claimed he had had a lot of time to get it right, and had actually been practising moonwalking in water for 14 years.

He admitted it was a difficult stunt to copy, and that he did it to stay fit without constantly having to jar his bones on the ground by running or hiking.

The video hit many reactions on the social media platform Douyin, China’s version of TikTok. Leaving many netizens unable to hold back from commenting.

Douyin ‘Pan Fried Baiwei’ agreed with the man saying: “It looks simple, but it’s actually not easy at all.”

Then user ‘Fixed Deposit’ commented: “But is it difficult? I can do it too, but maybe not as silky.”

While ‘XF007’ added: “Anyone who knows how to tread water should be able to do it.”
