Girls Chase Away Marauding Monkey Game Raiding Bins Outside Their Rooms

Students in the girls’ dormitory at a Chinese university will be more tidy in the future after the bags of rubbish piled outside their rooms attracted hordes of monkeys.

The hungry monkeys came down from the mountains in search of food, and started tearing open the bags after reaching the dormitory at the Suzhou University of Science and Technology, in China’s province of Jiangsu.

In the clip, several young woman can be seen rushing outside to chase off the marauding band of monkeys, with one waving what appears to be a feather duster as the monkeys disappear into the distance.

The monkeys did not leave however without causing chaos, ripping out the rubbish bags and also grabbing other belongings from the women and throwing them around the dormitory.

A spokesman for the university said that the rubbish would be cleared up regularly from the balconies from now. And so there was nothing to attract the monkeys following the incident on 10th April.

The video reached more than 229,000 likes and over 388,000 shares after it posted on China’s version of TikTok, Douyin.

Douyin user ‘Chiyou’ said: “Too much garbage is the key point.”
