Exhausted Cyclist Fails To Overtake Galloping Horse

This is the moment an exhausted cyclist realises that even going downhill he’s no match for a galloping horse as he tries, and fails, to overtake the running animal on the road.

The footage was filmed on a mountainside road in the Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture which is an autonomous prefecture in northern Xinjiang in China on Wednesday, 8th May.

The man who shared the video online said that he wanted to overtake the horse but ended up being left behind by the superfast animal.

He said: “The gradient was five per cent and the riding speed was 27 kilometres per hour [16 mph]. The horse kept running because his owner had sped on ahead and the horse was apparently trying to catch up.”

It was not revealed why the owner had sped up ahead of the horse but it was believed he was giving it some exercise even though this is not recommended as hard roads are bad for the horse’s hooves.

Online commentators like ‘Not Convinced’ said: “This road is not good for horses hooves.”

And user ‘Skirt Of The Flying God Pig’ said: “You were pulled to pieces by a horse, hahahaha.”

While the user ‘L’ said: “Chase slowly and don’t scare the horse, which when they get scared can be prone to cause car accidents.”
