This is the un-bear-ably funny moment when a giant panda’s restful sleep is interrupted by a crow apparently looking for some soft padding for its nest and starts plucking fur from its rear end.

Footage of the incident filmed at a zoo in the Chinese capital Beijing shows the bird’s attempt at getting what it needed could not even be stopped by the panda’s visible annoyance.

The clip shows the black-and-white bear slouching over a tyre-built ladder in its enclosure, trying to take a nap when the cheeky crow sneaks up from behind.

It begins pulling out locks of white fur directly from the bear’s backside that it presumably thought would be quite useful to build a nest.

But after relentlessly going at it for nearly a whole minute and with a beak full of fur, the panda apparently gets irritated and tries to chase it off with its paw.

It even turned around and bared its teeth to warn the bird, but the seemingly fearless crow was back as it as soon as the panda turned its head.

In the end, it seems the panda just gave up and let the cheeky bird have its fill.

The clip attracted widespread attention after it was shared on Douyin, China’s version of TikTok, with many netizens poking fun at the bear’s apparent laziness.

Douyin user ‘Perfunctory’ said in a comment: “This bird is too much, the bear’s ass will be bald.”

Another user – ‘a small ear fan’ – said: “Beijing zoo, just take care of your crow, it’s too arrogant, it has plucked all the hairs of our national treasure.”
