This is the moment two men fall into a river while trying to take pictures for social media together with their dog on top of a bamboo raft that quickly sank underneath their weight.

Video footage shows the men, not identified in local media, hopping onto the raft in a river at a picturesque mountain spot in Xiangxi, in China’s southern Hunan Province.

But a third pal who stood nearby ready to take pictures of the duo joined by their pet German Shepherd accidentally recorded the moment they all toppled over and fell into the water as the raft they stood on could not carry all the weight.

Fortunately, the river was relatively calm and shallow, so they were able to swim out safely.

The incident quickly gained attention on Douyin, the Chinese TikTok, where the clip was shared on 25th April, with users like ‘Zheng It’s 100 million’ saying: “Fortunately, all three of them can swim.”

And user ‘Enough’ said: “Scared the dog to death.”

User ‘Aoshuo Shredder’ added: “Your ‘boat’ is notoriously fast, (it sinks quickly).”
