The incredible video shows an elephant chasing after two men on a road after they tried to take a selfie with it.
In the clip, the tusker can be seen running after the men and the red SUV in the motorway passing next to the Bandipur National Park near the Muthanga forest. In the Indian state of Kerala on 31st January.
During the chase, one of the men tripped and fell to the ground, triggering the animal to stop and try to attack him, before heading back to the forest.
The man, whose identity was not disclosed in local media, reportedly survived the attack with minor injuries.
The video was recorded by a local identified only as Sawad, an IT engineer who was reportedly travelling with his family to the town of Ooty, when he saw the elephant charging at the commuters.
Sawad said that the massive animal stormed at the two men while they were trying to take a selfie with it.
Unable to get back in the vehicle, they reportedly started running along the road.

The video prompted an avalanche of comments from users on Instagram. Who were unable to refrain from sharing their thoughts.
Instagram user ‘rimad2102’ said: “Dude fell like a white woman in a horror movie. Come on man.”
Then user ‘breannax69’ commented: ‘That’s literally the worst time to be falling.”
And ‘one_more_perspective’ added: “Running for your life is the real reason to be in shape.”
