Rare Water Deer Leaves People Puzzled After Running Through Busy City Streets

The funny video shows what seems to be a rare water deer leaving people puzzled after roaming through the snowy city streets.

Smartphone footage from the north-eastern Chinese province of Liaoning, bordering North Korea and the Yellow Sea, shows the animal running to free itself from the enclosed yard in front of a building on 25th December.

In the clip, it can first be seen jumping into a metal railing but it then freed itself before becoming stuck. Seconds later the animal repeats the same move in a different part of the yard two more times.

It then finally broke free from the area after reaching the open gate and stormed out on the street, thus leaving a driver puzzled when he spotted it while getting out of his car.

Local media did not disclose if the water deer was caught after the video was recorded. Which triggered an avalanche of comments after it was posted on China’s version of TikTok, Douyin.

Then user ‘It is difficult to teach children to learn’ commented: “It really is a silly deer. If it wasn’t protected, it would have been cooked into a stew!”

And ‘Bull Demon King (Plant Sleeping Pillow Main Store)’ added: “Only a stupid deer can do this.”
