This is the moment a motorist discovered even one horsepower can still pack a lot of punch when two horses stop traffic as they battled it out on a mountain road.

The video was filmed from a car travelling in China’s Sichuan province on the Sichuan-Tibet Highway 318 into Tibet on 2nd June.

The man said that at first, when he spotted the horses it was annoying to be slowed down but he then grabbed his phone when he realised he was watching wild horses in an apparent battle for territory.

The horses are seen kicking out at each other and biting each other as they try to win the battle.

The car driver said that he could only watch as there was nothing he could do to stop the battle, which attracted widespread comments online.

Online commentators like ‘Sea Brother Sky’ said: “The couple must have had a quarrel.”

And user ‘Ring’ said: “All living things have tempers sometimes. Fighting is also a form of communication.”

While the user ‘Hapiness’ said: “Horses in love.”
