This adorable panda has discovered a hilarious way to cure boredom by climbing up to the top of a grassy slope and then repeatedly sliding downhill.

The playful animal, named Qin Yun, was seen on several occasions enjoying its new favourite pass-time at the Foping Panda Conservation and Breeding Research Base in Hanzhong, in China’s north-western Shaanxi Province.

Qin Yun had apparently decided to make great use of the vast grassy area that the enclosure offers by strutting uphill, then lying down and sliding down the short slopes found all around.

Various clips show the panda changing up the routine, at times by sliding on its belly and other times by sliding on its back. One video also shows it rolling on its side to apparently boost the adrenaline rush.

Qin Yun’s silly antics apparently delighted not just its keepers but also numerous users on Douyin, China’s version of TikTok, with many praising its ability to enjoy its surroundings.

One user titled ‘Chinese Elements^O^ Cute Pet Paradise’ commented: “This is the difference between a nature reserve and a zoo.”

User ‘Xiaomei’ wrote: “No mortgage or car loan, no worries about putting food on the table, no worries at all.”

And ‘Ah ha ha’ said: “So happy, I really hope all the pandas in the world get this kind of treatment.”
