Users on social media platforms were astonished by this flock of chickens that flew down a mountain slope after hearing their owner clang two pot lids together.
The footage captured in Zhangpu County, in China’s south-eastern province of Fujian, showed the farmer called Mr Xu slamming the lids together earlier this month (March).
Just seconds later dozens of chickens can be seen descending from the mountain slope and landing in the coop, as Mr Xu swiftly moved away from the spot to prevent any potential accidents.
In an interview with Chinese media, the poultry farmer, identified as ‘@Sword refers to one side of the farm’ on China’s version of TikTok, Douyin, said the chickens usually go up the mountain to find food.

He then shared the images on the platform, and said: “Feeding a chicken makes me tremble every day.”
The two videos left netizens unable to hold back from commenting.

Douyin user ‘Fat Gummy Bears’ said: “You were the first person to turn chicken feeding into a war movie.”
Then user ‘Flying Clouds’ commented: “These are flying chickens.”

And ‘Variety Star King Little Tiger Department Store’ added: “Some knew this was a chicken farm, others thought it was Pearl Harbor.”
