This is the moment an escaped cow runs amok among the crowd during a carnival celebration, leaving three injured and damaging parked vehicles.

The incident happened in the city of Pendencias, in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, on 11th February.

The footage shows the terrified cow running among the panicked crowd.

Other images show the cow smashing itself into a car, and then hitting people in the crowd.

The case occurred during a performance by the Banda Grafith, which was performing on the city streets on an electric trio.

The city hall said in a note: “The people were taken to the hospital and were promptly treated.”

They added that the three victims suffered minor injuries.

The city hall said that the animal collided with two cars.

They added: “With the support of the police, the animal was removed from the avenue, without injuring itself or anyone else. Until then, we were unable to identify the animal’s owner.”

“We reiterate to revellers that we will take all appropriate measures to ensure greater safety during carnival festivities”.
