This is the moment a boy helps to capture a huge angry python as it slithers towards homes in India by grabbing its powerful jaws.
The hair-raising footage, filmed in Saligrama, in the Indian state of Karnataka, shows one man struggling to pull the giant snake from the undergrowth by its tail.
But despite pulling with all his might, the bearded man just cannot shift the stubborn snake.
Then, amazingly, a boy who looks no older than 10 steps up and cautiously approaches the snake’s head.
Although pythons are not venomous, their huge fangs, strong jaws and immense strength mean they can still give powerful and painful bites.
In his first attempt, the boy pulls back his hands suddenly as the snake turns to bite him.
Then seconds later he manages to grab the python’s head and keep its jaws clamped shut while the man pulls it back onto the road.
As the constrictor writhes and twists its coils, it is gradually subdued and put in a plastic sack.
The video, shared online on 22nd November, has prompted watchers to hail the boy as “heroic” and “brave”.
