This is the moment a woman ignores being bitten to rescue a trapped cat that cannot move by warming its frozen paw up after it gets stuck to a metal pole.

In the clip, the woman can be seen approaching the feline after realising that its paw was stuck to a metal pole amidst freezing cold temperatures in China’s capital Beijing on Sunday, 17th December.

However, each time the woman reached for the cat’s paw and covered it with her hand in order to warm it up, the animal would meow in pain and bite her to leave it alone.

Sometime later the cat mustered up the courage and pulled its paw towards itself, thus unsticking it from the pole. It then licked it for comfort and relief as the woman petted it.

The recording became a massive hit after it was shared on TikTok’s version for China, Douyin, with many social media users praising the woman for her kindness.

Douyin user ‘4187605252133’ said: “Lady, you are so kind. When the cat bites your hand, you cover the cat’s claws.”

User ‘white ghostYimei’ commented: “It was so painful for the kitty. The blogger helped it pull it. It couldn’t bear the pain and didn’t want people to touch it. It hurt when I touched it, but it still didn’t bite. It has a very good temper.

And ‘Drag boygreen radish sauce’ added: “Born to be rebellious!”
