This is the hilarious moment two curious deer stick their heads through the open window of a family’s car as a little boy tries to feed them carrots.

Phone footage shows the boy ready to hand out two halves of a large carrot as he and his mum drive through a safari park in Qinhuangdao, in northern China’s Hebei Province.

He leans over the open window of the slow-moving vehicle when he catches the attention of two female deer.

The animals instantly come over, but as they try to grab the food, the boy backs away in fear.

As the scared toddler retreats into his seat, the deer move in closer and then stick their heads through the window and inside the car, looking around while searching for the offered treat.

The mum is heard laughing as her child grows timid and unsure what to do, says: “Hurry up [son] and give it to them, I’m scared too…”

She later shared the clip on Douyin, China’s version of TikTok, hilariously captioning it with the word: “Coward.”

Many netizens apparently found the video amusing and gave various humorous remarks.

One user titled ‘@xx’ commented: “Deer: Young man, hurry up and give me the carrot, what you are doing? Are you playing hard to get with me?”

Another user titled ‘123456789’ wrote: “Is it possible that he is just stingy and not a coward?”

And user ‘Ahhh’ said: “They look like me at the cafeteria window.”
