Officers Rescue Loose Piglet That Escaped Onto Busy Highway

This is the moment police officers capture a runaway piglet after they spotted it running across the highway.

The rescue operation unfolded on US Route 35 in Ross County, in the US State of Ohio on 5th September.

Passing motorists alerted authorities after seeing the little hog, later named Pearl by State Highway Patrol officers, darting across the busy road.

Troopers from the Chillicothe Post responded promptly to ensure Pearl’s safety as they tracked it into the nearby brush and later captured it.

Following her rescue, police said Pearl found a new home at the Ross County Humane Society.
