Monkey Returns Man’s Smartphone In Exchange For Pack Of Juice

The hilarious video shows a monkey dropping a man’s iPhone from a tall structure which it stole only after he tosses a box of juice at it in exchange.

Smartphone footage recorded at the Sri Rangnath Ji Mandir temple in the city of Vrindavan. In the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, shows four monkeys sitting on top of the structure on 6th January.

One of them, holding the man’s iPhone which it reportedly snitched, can be seen looking at a group of people standing below and trying to trick it into dropping it.

However, the monkey refused to let go of the device until one person threw a pack of Frooti, a mango-flavoured drink, at it.

The video then depicted the monkey grabbing the drink. And quickly dropping the phone before running away, as a person in the crowd caught it.

The footage became a massive hit among netizens after it was shared on the social media platform Instagram later that day.

Instagram user ‘tanvi_422’ said: “Vrindavan monkeys are [the] best traders.”

Then user ‘aviral.garg_’ commented: “Got my shoe back for a Frooti yesterday.”

And ‘shilpi.smith.v1’ added: “Bloody thieves!”

The video has reached more than 660,000 views as of 18th January.

In a similar incident from October 2023, a monkey gave a woman’s phone back only after she offered it two pieces of fruit in Bali, Indonesia.
