Moment Mama Bear And Cub Mosey Up To Firefighters Setting Up Anti-Fire Defences

This is the moment a mother bear and her cub mosey up to firefighters as they set up anti-fire defences.

The footage was shared online by the Tulare County Fire Department who captioned it: “Task Force 5179 from #tularecofire had a couple of visitors while preparing for structure defense on the #knpcomplexfire in Three Rivers. Please remember as cute as they may, be we remind everyone to not attempt to approach bears or feed them so they can stay healthy and wild.”

The footage shows two bears, which appear to be a mother and her young cub, approaching the person filming.

The cub appears to be the least afraid of the two, with the mother hanging back. But the young cub does not appear to be afraid of humans and can be seen getting up on its hind legs and putting its front paws on the firefighters vehicle while giving them a good sniff.

It then retreats back to its mother, shyly going behind her as the footage ends.

The footage was shot in The unincorporated community of Three Rivers, which is located in Tulare County in the western US state of California at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada.
