This is the moment a topless man decides to break into a cat cafe to escape the freezing cold and snuggles up under a blanket on one of the chairs where he then falls asleep and only wakes up when cops arrest him.

CCTV footage shows the window at the cat cafe being broken as the cats, which until that point had been lying around, suddenly make themselves scarce as the topless man comes bursting in through the window in Lipetsk, in south-western Russia, on the night of 29th October.

Once inside, he drops down to a small sofa and grabs a cover, which he then uses a blanket and almost instantly falls asleep. it is unclear how he came to be wandering around in the cold with no top, and it was speculated that he had been drinking.

Surrounded by the warm and furry pets, he then continued to doze until the owner arrived and spotted the 22-year-old asleep in the chair and called the police.

When officers arrived, the man, who was not named, was still asleep and he was woken up and arrested, and the footage ends as he is handcuffed and escorted from the room.

It looks as if he had managed to cut his arm which he rubs absentmindedly as the cops wake him up and there are also bloodstains seen on the couch where he fell asleep.

Local media said that rather wisely, the cats decided not to use the broken window to escape into the cold and preferred to stay in the warm room.

Police Department No. 8 is conducting an investigation into this breaking and entering and has so far given no further details.
