The chilling video shows a man storming out of the home to save his pet dog after it was attacked and dragged out of the yard by a leopard.

CCTV footage recorded in the municipality of Coonoor, in India’s southern state of Tamil Nadu, shows the pooch sitting peacefully on a rug placed on the terrace at around 3:22pm on 20th January.

However, just several moments later the dog can be seen getting attacked by a leopard that suddenly snuck in the yard and grabbed the canine by the neck.

Planning to make a nice meal out of the dog while holding it in its jaw, the wild animal then climbed out of the balcony and tried to leave the home, when the owner rushed towards them to rescue the pet.

Indian media revealed that the dog managed to escape the feline the moment it saw the man storming in their direction.

The bizarre video made headlines after it was shared on the social media platform X on 23rd January. Reaching more than 62,000 views in less than a day.
