Five-Year-Old So Badly Savaged He Asked Mum ‘Am I Going To Die?’

This is the terrifying moment a five-year-old boy is torn to pieces by a pack of stray dogs just yards from the safety of his home in central Russia.

The boy, who has not been named, is seen on CCTV footage walking through thick Siberian snow. In Irkutsk on 19th February as one dog runs up to him.

As it circles the boy, it is joined by three other dogs who soon begin jumping up at him biting and pulling at his clothes.

But when the frightened boy tries to walk away the dogs follow him and finally pull him to the ground and begin to savage him as the footage ends.

Astonishingly he survived the attack but hIs horrified mother Lyubov Tatarnikova later told local media his injuries were so severe that he will remain in hospital for a fortnight.

Heartbreakingly when she rescued him from the pack he asked her: “Mummy am I going to die?”

Lyubov said later: “I talked to the doctor. We have to stay in the hospital for at least two weeks.”

Local police are investigating the attack and government officials are said to be updating how they collect strays.

Two of the dogs were reportedly caught. But Lyubov said her son asked her: “Mum, when I return home, will there be no more dogs?”
