A lucky angler was so proud of the giant 55-lb fish he caught that he hung it on the back of his car as he drove it home to show it off.
The man, whose identity was not revealed, reportedly reeled in the impressive five-foot-long monstrosity while fishing near Wuhan. In China’s central Hubei Province, on 30th January.
Phone footage shows him dragging the 55-lb fish across the all the way to his car, apparently unable to lift it and carry it in his arms.
The video then cuts to show the giant fish, the exact species unclear, mounted on his back windshield.
The man could be seen standing a little further back, smiling from ear to ear as he photographed the proudly displayed catch.
He then drove around the city thrice so everyone could see the fish, as seen in a second video shared on Douyin, China’s version of TikTok.
And the sight apparently did not escape many locals’ attention. As one Douyin user, titled ‘Auntie washes the road’, commented: “You’re not the one driving around Wuhan, are you?”
User ‘°C’ wrote: “I heard that you travelled around Wuhan for a whole day.”
And ‘YC’ said: “I saw this car at the entrance of Honda’s second factory yesterday [TUE] when I went to Kaiyong Kaiyuan. There was this big fish hanging on the rear windshield.”
