This is the moment a businesswoman is not so pleasantly surprised after her shopping spree when she finds a boa constrictor on her car’s dashboard.

Fernanda Cardoso, recorded the footage as she was about to leave the shopping outlet at the municipality of Novo Hamburgo, in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul.

The video, which was posted on 7th October, shows the car windshield with the snake inside the car, wrapped on the dashboard.

Fernanda said that when she was about to enter the BMW X6 car, she noticed a strange reflection on the windshield, before noticing that it was a snake.

Fernanda said: “My friend said it was made of rubber, but as it was very ‘realistic’, we put our face close to the windshield. Then, it [the snake] moved.

“We were scared! It was so scary that my friend almost choked and my blood pressure dropped immediately.”

An unnamed lawyer, who is the owner of the snake told local media that the animal was a 22-year-old male boa constrictor (Boa constrictor).

They said that the reptile is docile, lives with their children and the family dog and is not poisonous.

They also said that they take the snake out every two months, as advised by the veterinarian, to avoid health problems, such as starvation.

Otherwise, the animal reportedly stays in a terrarium, with heating, water and other conditions it needs.

It is unknown how the snake ended up inside the car.
