This is the heart-warming moment a woman helps a stray cat free itself after she spotted it wandering around traffic with a snack bag stuck on its head.

Her husband, surnamed Huang, said the two were driving in his car when the helpless puss crossed their way in Langfang, in China’s northern Hebei Province on 29th October.

He stopped the car after seeing the hungry white cat with orange specks had gotten its head stuck in an empty bag of snacks and was aimlessly running in circles across the road.

Huang said he then asked his wife to go outside and help free the poor animal before another vehicle accidentally runs it over.

Phone footage filmed by Huang shows the moment his wife ran out onto the street to help the disoriented cat that nearly got run over by a passing truck.

After a brief chase, she managed to sneak up on it and quickly pulled off the plastic bag.

Their small act of kindness received wide praise on Douyin, China’s version of TikTok.

One user titled ‘So ambitious’ commented: “Although it is a small gesture, for the cat, it was life-saving.”

User ‘Not good,,criminal’ wrote: “Saved a life. If you didn’t remove it, it could have died. Good Samaritans.”

And ‘IDOCS_Jenny’ said: “The cat was hungry and its head got stuck in search of food. Thank you to the kindhearted people. May you good people have a blessed life.”
