Two Macaques Share Kiss In Front Of Delighted Crowd

These two wild macaques captured tourists’ hearts as they shared a kiss on a cold day.

The pair of affectionate monkeys were filmed by an unnamed visitor during a trip to Emei Mountain, near the city of Leshan, in China’s south-western Sichuan Province.

Several tourists had gathered beside a wooden fence taking videos of two macaques that were on the railings.

To their surprise and amusement, the larger monkey suddenly approached the smaller one and unexpectedly grabbed its chin and moved in for a smooch.

The delighted crowd began shouting and cheering, causing the shy monkeys to separate in the fuss.

The lovey-dovey creatures became a sensation on Douyin, China’s version of TikTok, where the clip quickly went viral with more than 2.05 million likes and over three million shares.

One user titled ‘Yunyue Tui Tui’ commented: “The tourists’ cheering voices caused them to separate and become a little shy, very much like a young love couple at a school campus.”

And ‘only one heart🇨🇳’ said: “Am I worse than a monkey?”
