This is the funny moment a one-horned stag tries to stop on a slippery road and skids on its bottom before getting back on its feet and continuing its morning run through a Chinese city.

Mr Li, a resident of Dalian, in Liaoning, recorded the video during a visit to a local park.

He said came across a deer running on the road and had rushed to get a video just as it slipped on the road.

Mr. Li shared the video where the deer can be seen on its run with the red traffic lights in the background, and he told local media that it was not the first he had seen the one-horned stag, adding that when he sees it coming, he is usually more keen to just get out of the way than film it.

But this time round he was on the other side of the street, and the video shared by Mr Li quickly gained popularity on Douyin, China’s version of TikTok, with many users expressing their delight and admiration for the harmonious coexistence between humans and wildlife in Dalian.

A user called ‘Eggs’ commented: “I want to know what it is doing in such a hurry?”

Another called ‘Heart’ commented: “It’s Santa’s elk who fell behind.”

A third called ‘Mou Mou’ added: “The deer came out to have fun during Christmas.”
