Giraffe Almost Loses Its Head In Low Bridge Mishap

This is the moment a giraffe has a narrow escape when being driven down a motorway just like in a scene from Hangover III except that in this case, the driver realises the giraffe will not fit under the bridge.

In the film, Alan Garner played by Zach Galifianakis causes a multi-car freeway pileup after he purchases a giraffe and accidentally decapitates it on a low overpass.

The incident involving the giraffe in Beijing, in China, took place when the animal refused to lower its head as it approached a low bridge.

Fortunately, however, the driver realised disaster was about to strike and slowed down so that the giraffe could lower its head. Unfortunately, the animal refused to do so, and as a result, the truck and vehicle pulling it were stuck in the middle of the busy road.

The night-time escapade was a severe risk to other motorists, with emergency services rushing to try and work out how to get the giraffe to bend down.

It is believed they eventually solved the problem when firemen climbed onto the truck and forced the giraffe to lower its head.
