The remarkable video shows hundreds of ducklings marching in flawless harmony, obediently following their owner’s instructions.
Smartphone footage captured on a farm in China’s coastal province of Guangdong showed the farmer directing the ducklings to assemble before him last week.
They can be seen immediately following their owner’s orders, and beginning to arrange themselves into neat rows, thus exhibiting a level of discipline similar to military training.
Shortly, all of the ducklings gathered ahead of their owner, patiently waiting for his next command.
The clip went viral just a couple of days after it was shared on the social media platform Douyin, China’s version of TikTok, on 23rd March.
The ducklings’ captivating movements stunned social media users on the site, who could not hold back from sharing their opinions.
Douyin user ‘Jubilee Phoenix’ said: “What kind of duck is so obedient?”
Then user ‘Clever little brain’ commented: “Being so obedient, I don’t even want to eat roast duck anymore.”
And ‘Peach Yingying’ added: “Even ducks can understand Mandarin. It’s amazing.”
The video has reached more than 3.1 million likes and over 5.9 million shares as of 25th March.
