This is the bizarre moment two riders find out just hoof’s the boss when they try to clean a horse in a car wash.

CCTV footage from the garage in the Almaty Region, in Kazakhstan, shows one of the pair holding the horse’s reins as he starts up a power-washer wand.

But as the suspicious horse edges away, he seems to turn up the pressure.

Suddenly, the terrified mount wheels away to escape the high-pressure spray and kicks out with its rear legs.

Then as the animal wheels around it tries to rear up at the rider with the power wand but slips on the wet concrete.

Finally, the men turn off the hose and lead the horse away from the car wash.

Now police are reportedly investigating the footage for animal cruelty.

The images prompted a furious online row with some social media users saying the images definitely show cruelty while others disagreed.

One said: “Am I alone in thinking that this is animal abuse?”

While another said: “If cars can be washed at a car wash then why not a horse as well? It’s probably an old horse and used to being cleaned by hand.”

And a third netizen said: “This is very high pressure and will have been unpleasant to the horse at the very least and at most very painful. If you put your hand in front of that jet, the skin would be torn off.”
