This is the moment Italian firefighters rescue a cow that was trapped in deep mud in the middle of a field with the help of a helicopter.

The firefighters filmed the rescue operation, which took place in a field in Stigliano, in the province of Matera.

In the video, firefighters are seen digging a hole in the mud around the animal’s body so they could later tie a rope around it.

They then attached the ropes to a helicopter and pulled the cow out of the field before carrying her to safety.

The fire department said the video shows how “every rescue is different from another”.
