This is the touching moment a rare snow leopard basks in a lazy, sun-drenched day, curling up in the grass in front of stunned fans at Moscow Zoo in Russia.
The clip shows the animal rolling over from one side to the other, happily showing off to zoo visitors its bright-coloured fur covered with captivating spots.
Snow leopards have thick grey and yellow-tinged fur, with solid spots on their head, neck, and lower limbs, as well as rosettes over the rest of the body.
Rosettes are large rings enclosing smaller spots.
Moscow Zoo said in a statement obtained by Clipzilla: “The snow leopard shows itself in all its glory.”
Snow leopards (Panthera uncia) are listed as “Vulnerable” on the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s (IUCN’s) Red List of Threatened Species.
