Quick-Thinking 12-Year-Old Boy Locks Leopard Inside Room After It Suddenly Walks In

The video shows a quick-thinking 12-year-old boy locking a leopard inside a room after the wild animal unexpectedly walked in.

Surveillance camera footage from the city of Malegaon, in the Indian state of Maharashtra, showed the young boy named Mohit Ahire playing video games on a smartphone in an office cabin of a wedding hall on Tuesday, 5th March.

But just seconds later he could be seen getting petrified after a five-year-old leopard suddenly walked inside, forcing him to quickly get up from the couch he was sitting on and exit the room.

A different scene in the clip showed Mohit locking the leopard from the outside and rushing to get some help.

He reportedly told his father about the trapped animal, prompting a quick reaction from local authorities.

Recalling the incident Mohit later told Indian media that the wild animal’s proximity left him with little space to manoeuvre.

The wedding hall owner later said that police, forest officials, and locals had been searching for the leopard since earlier in the morning, when it was spotted in a nearby residential area.
