These images show the moment a woman in China finds her missing pet dog in a barrel of soy sauce paste.
The incident took place in Baoding, in Hebei Province, on 17th June, with the video showing the dog inside the barrel of murky brown sauce with its front paws on the side of the container, looking suprisingly pleased with itself.
The pooch’s owner said: “My dog likes to jump around, but I didn’t expect it to fall into the sauce jar. I threw away the sauce, but I couldn’t bear to beat the dog, and i had to give it four baths to clean it.”
Soy sauce is a popular condiment that is used in Chinese cuisine and is made from soy sauce paste, which is also sold separately and is equally popular with Asian diners.
Online commentators like ‘Mud Pot Clam’ said: “This dog is greedy.”
