Tiger Cub Ambushes Caretaker At Siberian Tiger Park

Story By: Michael Leidig / newsX

This is the moment a baby Siberian tiger sneaks up and playfully pounces on its caretaker while delighted zoo visitors laugh.

The adorable ‘ambush’ was filmed at the Siberian Tiger Park in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province in northeastern China, the world’s largest natural reserve for Siberian tigers.

The video, posted on social media on 26th August, shows the cub leaping suddenly onto the man from behind.

The young tiger clings to him with its front paws while he stays calm and holds his ground.

As the man then gets up, the cub loses its grip and lands on its bum, but the caretaker quickly picks it up and gives it a pat on the head as the video ends.

The Siberian Tiger Park covers 1.2 million square metres and is home to more than 600 Siberian tigers.

Cubs are raised in semi-wild conditions where they grow up by playing, wrestling, and testing their instincts.
