This is the dramatic moment a panicked man climbs on top of a parked truck when a bear suddenly runs past him and a group of bystanders in search of food.
The animal was seen on the evening of 28th September, in the Adler district of Sochi, Russia, where it was recorded on outdoor surveillance cameras as it raced through the village of Galitsyno.
Video shows the bear moving quickly between the houses and past a group of startled residents, prompting one of them to climb onto a parked truck out of fear.
Residents said the bear had come down from the mountains and recently killed a cow.
They also complained that they had been hearing bear roars more frequently at night.
Locals suggested that due to the cool summer, animals had not had enough time to prepare for winter and were now wandering in search of food to build up their winter fat reserves.
