This is the moment a huge flock of migratory birds fills the sky as stunned tourists gasp in amazement.
The footage was filmed at the Hukou Waterfall Scenic Area on the Yellow River in Shanxi, China, and was posted on Douyin – the Chinese version of TikTok on 8th October.
The images were shared online and show the dense swarms of birds flying south in spectacular formation.
Tourists can be heard shouting “Wow!” as they film the sky filled with hundreds of birds.
The woman who filmed the video, named as Ms Zhou, told local media that she is from Jinan in Shandong Province and had seen such a sight when she was a child, but not since growing up.
She filmed the video while travelling to Hukou Waterfall and said the flock that appeared 10 seconds before the one in the footage was even more spectacular.
She added that she so surprised she exclaimed “wow wow wow” as she recorded.

According to staff at the Hukou Waterfall Scenic Area, the migration of birds south happens every year, and similar scenes can occasionally be observed in the area.
They said that because the birds fly very high, it is usually difficult to identify their species.
