Playful Bears Jostle And Splash Around In Muddy Puddle

This is the adorable moment two wild bears jostle and play as they take turns bathing in a muddy forest pool.

The scene filmed in the Piatra Craiului National Park in the counties of Brasov and Arges in Romania, on 5th December.

The video shows the bears standing in a puddle deep in the woodland as they nudge at each other before splashing and rolling in the water.

Specialists from the National Forestry Administration Romsilva had installed monitoring cameras in the forest, which captured the animals’ behaviour.

Romsilva said in a statement: “A large crowd gathered at a ‘pool’ located in a forest in Piatra Craiului National Park, with bears even ending up competing, sometimes playfully and sometimes more seriously, for a spot to take a dip.”

Piatra Craiului National Park is one of 22 national and natural parks administered by Romsilva and spans 14,800 hectares. Including 10,860 hectares of forest, over 6,000 hectares of which are protected.
