This is the moment a hapless goose is chased and killed by a puppy’s mother and two other dogs after they spotted it bullying her baby.
The incident took place when the animals’ owner, Ms Zhou, said the goose had been harassing the young dog before the pooch’s mother and two other family dogs intervened. According to reports on 23rd November in the city of Zhoukou, in Henan Province, in China.
Ms Zhou said the goose had been picking on the puppy when the three dogs ran towards it and chased it across the area until it was cornered and unable to escape.
CCTV footage shows the goose bullying the puppy and the three other dogs then chasing it down and biting it until it is on its back in a defensive position.
The clip then cuts to a man examining the bird’s lifeless body.
The owner said the goose was later found dead and already stiff in the courtyard. Indicating that it had been killed quickly by the three dogs acting together.
She also said the dogs did not eat the goose, adding that the body was untouched when she discovered it after the incident had ended.
Ms Zhou added that the goose was “not innocent” but “did not deserve to die”. Explaining that while it had bullied the puppy, she believed the outcome had been too severe.
