This is the moment a man slaps a monkey during a visit to a popular mountain park but is quickly met with revenge as the animal angrily kicks him to the ground.
Video shared online on 17th October shows the man hitting the monkey in the face unprovoked before the animal leaps forward and strikes him with a flying kick in Qianling Mountain Park in Guiyang, Guizhou Province, China.
Park staff said the macaques living there are wild and aggressive, warning visitors to maintain a distance of at least 10 feet and not to provoke or tease them.
One staff member told local media: “If you get scratched or bitten, the consequences are at your own risk.”
Officials said that since 2020, there have been more than 13,000 incidents of macaques injuring visitors in the park.
Warning signs have been placed throughout Qianling Mountain Park, and security patrols have been increased to remind tourists to stay away from the animals.

Qianling Mountain is home to a thriving macaque population due to its favourable climate, abundant food sources, and the absence of natural predators.
Park authorities urged tourists to “keep a certain safe distance from monkeys, do not tease or hit the macaques, and do not feed them food.”
