A stranded goat was hauled up the side of a motorway viaduct by firefighters dangling from ropes, as seen in this footage.

The video was obtained from the Istanbul Fire Department and shows the incident in the Eyupsultan district of Istanbul, in Turkey, on 11th August.
The animal had somehow ended up on a viaduct pier standing roughly 15 metres (49 feet) high on the North Marmara Motorway, one of the city’s busiest transport arteries.
Drivers passing the spot noticed the goat stuck between the supports and alerted the authorities.
Crews sent to the scene put safety measures in place before one firefighter was lowered down from the carriageway on a rope to reach the animal.
The video shows him securing the goat with a line before colleagues above pull it steadily upwards and lift it back onto the bridge.
The whole operation was recorded on a fire service camera and quickly drew attention on social media.
The Istanbul Fire Department said: “Goat operation on the North Marmara Motorway. We did not get an answer to the question ‘how did you get down there’, but we could not leave our lovely friend alone on the viaduct pier.
“Our teams safely brought the adventurous goat up onto the bridge from a height.”
The goat was reportedly handed back to its owner unharmed.
No explanation has been established for how it managed to reach the spot in the first place.
Goats are natural climbers with a remarkable head for heights, and have been filmed scaling near-vertical dam walls and rock faces in search of minerals and vegetation.
That agility regularly lands them in trouble on man-made structures, where a route up frequently turns out to have no route back down.
