This footage shows how a hapless dog was left dangling in the air tangled up in overhead cables after trying to chase a cat.
The clip – which was filmed in Bogota, Colombia – shows a couple of locals reaching the dog through a nearby open window and untangling it from the wires.
Meanwhile, another man can be seen holding a ladder underneath the pair so one of them can stand on the top rung as it frees the pooch.
Other local people holding up a stretched-out sheet on the pavement below are able to catch the dog gently as it falls.
Before it was rescued, the pooch had spent several minutes trapped five metres (16 feet) above the pavement, according to local media.
Witnesses said it had been chasing a cat, seen perched on the roof above, for several blocks.
After the feline had decided to climb onto the roof, the pooch had decided to follow it, but things had not gone to plan.
Thankfully, said local media, the dog did not suffer any electric shocks and remained calm until it was rescued.
During the bull terrier’s ordeal, the cat had simply remained on the roof watching on.
After the video was shared on social media on 2nd June, one netizen commented: “Evil won’t disappear from the world, but at least a little faith in humanity will remain.”
