This is the moment a huge black bear gatecrashes a party and gobbles up a tray of snacks while it lounges at the buffet bar.
Astonished party-goers in San Pedro Garza Garcia, a city in the Mexican state of Nuevo Leon, were mingling at the open-air bash when the huge bear appeared.
Then – after making a bee-line for the buffet – it casually stands up on its hind legs and munches through a tray of canapes.
The footage shows the bear apparently about to leave before changing its mind and going back to finish off the food.
Bizarrely nobody tries to escape and – while the party music plays in the background – even the catering staff stay put just inches from the bear.
And when one guest makes a move to scare the bear off, someone shouts ‘leave it, leave it’ in Spanish.
It is currently unclear what happened after the footage ended, but local media reported that the bear probably left without further incident.
The American black bear (Ursus americanus) is endemic to North America.
It is primarily found in US and Canadian forests but is also known to have colonies in Mexico.
