Family Shocked As Giant 10ft Python Crashes Down From Bathroom Ceiling

This is the moment a massive python crashes from a ceiling as emergency workers pull it from a family’s bathroom.

The video shows the responders working to remove the reptile from the bathroom ceiling at a home in Sungai Petani, Malaysia, on 12th November.

The python then drops heavily to the floor as the clip ends.

Local reports said the snake measured about three metres (9.84 feet) and weighed around 60 kilogrammes (132 lbs).

The homeowner, who works as a teacher, said her 15-year-old daughter had just returned home from school when she noticed the damaged ceiling.

She told local media: “I was having a meeting when my daughter sent me a picture of the damaged ceiling.”

The woman first thought it was some sort of fabric hanging through the gap until she zoomed in on the image and realised it was the python’s body.

The woman then immediately contacted the Malaysian Civil Defence Force for help.

She said she was shocked by the size of the reptile and compared it to an anaconda when it fell from the ceiling during the removal.

The teacher believes the snake had likely crawled in from the durian tree farm behind the home, where she had noticed an overturned flower pot two days before the incident.

She added: “There’s a swampy area behind our house, maybe it came from there. I had to clean the floor and carpet because of the fishy smell.”

The incident has traumatised the family, who say they are now extremely cautious when using the bathroom.

Reports said that emergency workers had previously attended the same property about three months earlier but were unable to locate the snake after it retreated into the ceiling.

The python has since been handed over to wildlife experts.
