This is the moment a stray shows a bus driver and his passengers who’s top dog after driving them off and refusing to let them back on.
The pooch – said to be a German Shepherd cross – took over during a stop at a yard in Staraya Stanitsa village, Rostov Oblast province, Russia on 9th September.
Video footage of the confrontation shows the dog barking furiously as it bares its teeth at anyone trying to get on board.
At one point, the pooch is even seen in the driver’s seat, growling at any possible intruders.
The stand-off, reports local media, carried on for two hours, with the dog even turning down a bribe of a string of juicy sausages to stay put.
It only ended when professional dog catcher Evgeniy Filippenkov arrived and was able to secure the pooch and lead him off the bus.
But the dog didn’t have to go far to start a new life.
An impressed local warehouse owner took him home as a guard dog for his stock of watermelons.
Police say they are also trying to find the dog’s owner.
