This is the moment a deer that escaped from its enclosure jumps onto a snow-covered rooftop and struggles to keep its footing as its owner chases after it.
The incident happened in Beiji Village in Mohe City, in China’s northernmost province Heilongjiang, on 19th November.
Footage shows the deer standing on the roof as it slips on the snow while attempting to stay upright.
It then moves uncertainly across the surface as the owner approaches below.
According to the owner, identified as Mr Luan, the animal was a farmed deer that had run out of its enclosure.
He said the deer became anxious when they tried to catch it, causing it to leap onto the rooftop.
Mr Luan said they used a tranquilliser dart to bring the deer under control.
The animal was later returned to its enclosure.
Checks found it was healthy and had not been injured.
